Meeting-Room Screen Checklist for PDFs and Presentations

A short room check you can keep, share with a colleague and reuse.

Get the first page on the room's screen before people arrive. Check it from the back, turn a page and keep the controller ready. That small rehearsal is more useful than discovering the room setup during the meeting.

This checklist is for V U This browser presentations: a display browser shows the chosen document while a phone or laptop holds the controls. It fits proposals, PDF slides, training handouts and a prepared portfolio of photos.

Before you enter the room

  • Save the final PDF on the device you will control from. Give it a clear filename.
  • If the source is PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides, export it to PDF and open the result.
  • Check the order of the pages and any small labels, tables or chart legends.
  • Keep a short first page ready: an agenda, title slide or instruction.
  • If showing photos, prepare the selected set so you do not search through a whole library during the meeting.

Check the display browser

  • Open vuthis.com on the TV's usable browser or on the computer already driving the projector.
  • Leave that browser page visible on the room's screen.
  • Confirm that the connection code can be read or the QR code scanned.
  • Keep the existing projector or display connection in place when using a room computer.

Connect from your own device

  • Scan the on-screen QR code with a phone, or open vuthis.com/r on your laptop and enter the display code.
  • Check that both the display and controller have internet access. They do not need to share Wi-Fi.
  • Choose Document for the PDF or Photos for the prepared picture collection.
  • Select Show now and confirm that the intended file appears.

Check what the room actually sees

  • Stand where the audience will sit and read the smallest important text.
  • Start with Fit page for a whole slide or diagram; try Fit width for a tall document.
  • Use Previous and Next once so you know how the page controls behave.
  • For photos, compare Fit and Fill before starting a slideshow.
  • Keep the controller open and accessible for page changes.

Leave the next presenter a clear routine

Tell the colleague who takes over which browser is driving the screen and where the display code appears. Keep the final PDF and the chosen walkthrough together with the meeting materials.

Use the laptop-to-TV instructions for the laptop route, and the device setup guide when working with a different room's TV or projector.

For a visual copy, the illustrated PDF handbook can be kept with your presentation resources and used as a sample PDF for the first test.

Open the room's display page. Connect. Show one page. Check the result before the audience arrives.
