TV & Projector Browser Setups: Samsung, Sony & More

Use the screen already in the room: at home, at work or in a classroom.

Your presentation on the meeting-room screen. Your menu on the hotel TV. Your photos on the big screen at home. Open vuthis.com on the display, connect your phone or laptop and choose what to show. No app installation, HDMI cable from your controlling device or shared Wi-Fi pairing.

Put a PDF on TV or a projector in a few steps

  1. Open vuthis.com in the screen's browser, or in a browser on the computer already driving the TV or projector.
  2. Scan the screen's QR code with your phone. On a laptop or tablet, open vuthis.com/r and enter its code.
  3. Choose Document, select the PDF and choose Show now.
  4. Use Previous and Next from your seat. Choose Fit page for complete slides or Fit width to read a tall document across the screen.

For PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides, export the presentation as a PDF first. Keep that file ready on your controlling device so you can connect and present. Follow the PDF-on-TV and projector guide.

MacBook, Surface and business laptops: present without HDMI

A MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, Microsoft Surface, Dell Latitude or XPS, HP EliteBook, or Lenovo ThinkPad can be the controller you bring into the room. Open vuthis.com/r in its browser, enter the display code and choose your PDF.

The laptop holds the controls while the room sees the selected document. You can keep other tabs and the rest of your desktop on your own device. This is useful for a client proposal, board meeting, training deck or workshop handout when you want the pages up quickly.

Samsung and Sony TVs: use the screen already in the room

For a Samsung The Frame, QLED or Neo QLED, or a Sony BRAVIA, choose the browser route for the setup you have. Open vuthis.com in the television's usable browser, or in a browser on a device already connected to that TV. Connect your phone or laptop and choose the PDF or photographs.

The TV is the display; your other device is the controller. You do not need to mirror your whole desktop to show a proposal, a set of slides or the pictures you selected.

Turn a premium TV into a photo slideshow

Choose Photos, select the pictures and choose Show now. Turn Slideshow on for automatic changes. Fit keeps the complete photograph visible; Fill uses the screen edge to edge.

Use it for a family gathering, a wedding reception's selected photographs, a club's event pictures or a prepared portfolio. You can run it from a laptop when the pictures are in a folder, or from a phone when they are already in hand. See the photo slideshow on TV walkthrough.

Epson, BenQ, Panasonic and conference-room projectors

For an Epson, BenQ, Panasonic, Optoma, Sony or ViewSonic projector, the straightforward route is a browser on the computer already driving the projector. Open vuthis.com there and leave its display page visible. If the projector itself provides a usable browser, that can supply the display page instead.

Connect your MacBook, Surface, Windows laptop, phone or tablet as the controller. Select the PDF, show the first page and turn the pages while you speak. The controlling device does not need an HDMI connection to the projector.

This fits conference presentations, training rooms, workshops and community venues where a projector is already installed. The existing projection connection stays in place while a presenter uses a separate browser controller.

Hotel, hospitality and reception displays

A shared screen can do a useful job before the next meeting begins: show the agenda, breakfast menu, today's specials, room directions or a welcome message.

For Samsung business displays, Sony BRAVIA Professional, Philips Professional Displays or ViewSonic commercial screens, use the display's available browser or the computer/player already connected to it. Open vuthis.com as the display page, then connect the controller.

Keep the relevant guide with whoever looks after the room: large text on a shared screen, live countdown timer on TV, or QR code on TV.

SMART Board, Promethean and classroom display setups

For a SMART Board, Promethean ActivPanel, BenQ Board, ViewSonic ViewBoard or Clevertouch setup, use a browser on the connected classroom computer or the panel's available browser. Open vuthis.com on that display, then connect the teacher's phone, tablet, MacBook, Windows laptop or Chromebook.

Choose a worksheet PDF, a diagram, a large instruction or a timer. The teacher keeps the controls while the class sees the chosen content. A PDF copy of the teaching material makes the workflow easy to repeat for the next lesson.

Fire TV Stick: a browser route for another TV

A Fire TV device can supply the browser display for a TV with an awkward built-in browser. Open vuthis.com in the browser on the stick, connect a phone or laptop and choose the PDF or photos.

Real sessions include Fire TV Stick 4K, first generation (2018) and second generation (2023) device identifiers. These correspond to AFTMM and AFTKM in Amazon's device identification reference. The same starting point is the browser route for the device you have, rather than buying a particular generation for this guide.

What real browser sessions already show

Anonymous device records include Samsung smart-TV/Tizen browser connections, Fire TV Stick 4K, Android TV, Windows PCs with Chrome/Edge/Firefox, Macs with Safari/Chrome/Firefox, Chromebooks, iPhones, Android phones and Android tablets.

The wider equipment families above are practical setup routes for premium home screens and professional venues. They are not claims that every individual model has been tested. Older and newer equipment can use the same display-and-controller approach when a usable browser is available on the screen or its connected computer/player.

Different networks? Connect with the screen code

Both display and controller need internet access. They do not need to share a Wi-Fi network: a phone can use mobile data while the room's display uses its own connection. Scan the display's QR code or enter its code at vuthis.com/r.

Keep it ready for the next room

Open vuthis.com on the screen. Connect from your phone or laptop. Show what the room needs.
