Your menu on the TV. Your phone or laptop changes the page. Open vuthis.com on the display, connect with its screen code and choose the menu PDF. No app installation, USB stick or HDMI cable from the device you control with.
For a café, pub, small restaurant or reception counter, the useful starting point is often the menu or price list you already maintain. Export it as a PDF and show the page customers need. V U This provides the browser display and the separate controller; you keep preparing the menu in your usual document or design tool.
Put today's menu on the screen
- Save a PDF of the menu, specials board or price list on your phone or laptop.
- Open vuthis.com in the TV's usable browser. Alternatively, open it on a computer already connected to the screen.
- Connect from another device using the display's QR code, or enter its code at vuthis.com/r.
- Choose Document, select the PDF and choose Show now.
- Start with Fit page. Use Previous and Next to choose the page you want customers to see.
Make the menu readable from the queue
A print menu can contain more detail than someone standing across a room can read. Prepare a screen-friendly page with a clear heading, large item names and prices, and space between sections. Put the day's offer or short menu on its own page rather than trying to show a long printed booklet at once.
Fit page keeps a complete page visible. Fit width enlarges a portrait document and lets the controller move through it a screenful at a time. For a menu left on display, choose a layout that makes the intended items readable without repeated page changes.
Walk to the place where customers will look at the screen and check the smallest price or line of text. If it is hard to read, shorten the page or increase its type size in the original document, then export the PDF again.
Change lunch specials without moving cables
When the content changes, select the revised PDF from the controller and show it. This is useful when the menu is on the manager's laptop but the display is behind the counter. Both devices need internet access; they do not need to share a Wi-Fi network.
Use a clear filename, such as lunch-menu-friday.pdf, and open the first page before the service begins. The display shows the selected document rather than your complete desktop, so your other tabs stay on your own device.
Choose the browser route for your TV
The display needs a usable browser on the TV itself or on a connected computer/player. You do not need to choose a new TV just for this walkthrough. The TV and professional-display setup guide explains those routes.
For another recurring venue use, see [welcome messages on reception screens](reception-tv-welcome-message.html). For the page controls in more detail, follow the PDF on TV walkthrough.
Try it with one page of your current menu. Open vuthis.com on the screen, connect and show the PDF.
