Show Google Slides on a TV or Projector as a PDF

Export Google Slides to PDF and show the pages on a TV or projector. Connect from a phone or laptop and turn slides from the browser controller.

Your Google Slides presentation on the room's screen, with page controls on your phone or laptop. Download a PDF copy of the slides, open the display browser and connect. No presentation app needs to be installed on the TV.

The PDF route is useful for an agenda, training deck, proposal or lesson where the audience needs the finished slides. Prepare the file before the session so the room setup is just connect, choose and show.

Prepare the PDF copy

In Google Slides, download the presentation as a PDF document. Open the exported file on the device you will control from and check that the pages, charts and text look right.

The PDF shows the exported pages. It does not reproduce live edits, animations or the behaviour of embedded media. If those are central to your presentation, present through the original software instead.

Put the slides on the screen

  1. Open vuthis.com in the TV's usable browser. For a projector, use a browser on the computer already driving it, or its available browser.
  2. Scan the display QR code from your phone, or enter its code at vuthis.com/r from a laptop.
  3. Choose Document, select the exported PDF and choose Show now.
  4. Select Fit page so the whole slide stays visible.
  5. Change slides with Previous and Next from the controller.

Choose the controller that suits the session

Use a phone when you want to move between workshop tables. Use a laptop when the final PDF is already saved there. The audience sees the selected document while your other tabs remain on your own device.

Both devices need internet access; they can use different networks. The screen needs a usable browser on the display itself or its existing connected computer/player.

For a practical rehearsal, show the title page, turn to a chart and check it from the furthest seat. Keep a copy of the PDF with your session notes for the next room.

The presentation walkthrough uses the same PDF display steps. Keep the [visual PDF handbook](/pdf-handbooks-and-slides.html) beside the setup or use the [laptop-to-projector instructions](/laptop-to-projector-without-hdmi.html).
