This works as a prepared photo collection for a reception, anniversary, family gathering or club event. One person chooses the pictures and holds the controls, so the screen shows the set you intended.
Prepare the photographs
Choose a manageable selection before the event and keep it ready on the controlling phone or laptop. Use a mix that makes sense as a story, and avoid searching through a personal library in front of the room.
Check that the people involved are happy for their photographs to be shown to the guests. Prepare a landscape and a portrait picture for the first display test.
Start the slideshow on TV
- Open vuthis.com in the TV's usable browser, or on the computer already connected to it.
- Scan the display QR code from your phone, or use vuthis.com/r from a laptop with the screen code.
- Choose Photos, add the selected pictures and turn Slideshow on.
- Set the seconds per photo and choose Show now.
- Use Pause, Previous, Next or Resume from the controller when needed.
Choose Fit or Fill before guests arrive
Fit keeps a complete photograph visible. Fill uses the display edge to edge and can crop part of a photograph. Check group pictures and portraits so important faces do not end up outside the visible frame.
Choose a pace that leaves time to recognise the picture. Keep the controller with the person responsible for the screen, especially when the programme moves to speeches or another activity.
Both display and controller need internet access, without shared Wi-Fi pairing. The venue screen needs a usable browser on the TV or its existing connected computer/player.
