Show PDF and Photo Files on TV Without a USB Stick

Put selected PDF documents and photos on TV from a phone or laptop. Use the browser controller instead of moving files with a USB stick.

Your PDF or selected photos on the TV, without moving them onto a USB stick. Open vuthis.com on the display, connect from the phone or laptop holding the files and choose what to show.

This is a display workflow for supported content: PDF documents and selected photographs. It is useful when the audience needs a proposal, slides or pictures, while the rest of your device stays with you.

Prepare the content you want the room to see

Keep a PDF or chosen photo collection ready on the controlling device. If the source is PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides, export the presentation to PDF first and check its pages.

For a group of photographs, select a clear set for the gathering or meeting. That saves searching through a whole photo library while the screen is waiting.

Connect without moving a USB stick

  1. Open vuthis.com in the TV's usable browser, or on a computer already connected to it.
  2. Scan the screen QR code from a phone. A laptop connects at vuthis.com/r by entering the display code.
  3. Choose Document for a PDF or Photos for pictures.
  4. Select the content and choose Show now.
  5. Change pages or pictures from the controller.

Use the controls that fit the file

For PDF slides, start with Fit page and use Previous and Next. For a tall document, try Fit width. For photos, Fit keeps the complete image visible, while Fill uses the screen edge to edge. Turn Slideshow on when you want the pictures to advance automatically.

The screen receives the chosen content rather than a live copy of your full desktop. Both the display and controller need internet access, but shared Wi-Fi pairing is not required.

If the TV has no usable browser, a browser on its connected computer/player can supply the display page. The same arrangement can use a computer already driving a projector.

Use the PDF walkthrough for documents or the photo slideshow walkthrough for pictures. The [video library](/youtube-walkthroughs.html) shows both routes in action.
